Newsletter: December 2025
It’s that time of year again where we naturally grow closer to what is most important to us: family, friends, good food, good wine. That time of year where shorter days and longer nights lead to slower mornings, Saturday nights spent in, and deep conversations with our close ones over a hearty raclette.
In this spirit of introspection and reflection, we hoped to share with you some stories from this year that remind us of why we chose the hospitality industry– chose it as more than just a job, but as an ongoing mission, as a way to advocate for human connection and meaningful service that cuts through the invisible walls of digitalization, automation and standardization.
Please enjoy the accounts from our team members about their favorite hospitality moment from 2025. Perhaps it will encourage you to remember and to share your own favourite moment of this year; perhaps these affectionate recollections will serve as a deliciously sweet madeleine de Proust!
Hospitality as Togetherness
My favourite hospitality moment of 2025 was my stay at Club Med Serre Chevalier this summer. What I loved most was the variety of activities and how effortlessly they brought my family together. We hiked in the mountains, tried new sports, relaxed by the pool… and everyone was genuinely present, sharing the same moments. The food was another joy, with generous and consistently delicious menus throughout the week. This was paired with incredibly high-quality service: every staff member we met was kind, attentive, and authentically warm. It felt like they truly cared and that feeling of being genuinely taken care of, is something I actively look for, and what hospitality represents to me. I was also struck by the happiness around us. Both guests and staff seemed in a good place, and that positive energy was contagious, shaping a truly memorable vacation. And finally, the setting, right in the heart of the Alps, made everything even more special. The fresh mountain air and the peaceful surroundings created the perfect environment to disconnect, recharge, and enjoy being together.

Seven Courses of Magic
In February 2025, I had the opportunity to dine at Jacky Ribault's one-star Michelin restaurant, L'Ours. As a proud Breton, Jacky Ribault is loyal to his roots, as can be seen in his menu, which features subtle Japanese influences alongside traditional Breton cuisine.
It was an unforgettable experience for my birthday with my dear brother. From the wine pairing to the quality of the dishes, every aspect of the experience was excellent, and we could really feel the high standards of a Michelin-starred restaurant.
They pre-checked my birthday on my reservation and chose the best table for us, as well as making a small gesture at the end of our dinner. The service was immaculate, and we even had the opportunity to visit the kitchen, which was extremely interesting, not to mention impressive given the number of chefs for a restaurant with only 20 seats. At that moment, you could sense the hard work and preparation that had gone into our seven-course dinner.
This experience has strengthened my passion for fine dining, embracing not only the quality of the food and drink served, but also the overall atmosphere of the restaurant.

Emotion in Every Detail
This year, one moment that stuck with me is my stay at L’Esquisse Hôtel & Spa MGallery in Colmar. From the moment I arrived, I was touched by the elegant and artistic design of the hotel, which was modern, soft, and full of personality. The atmosphere felt calm and inspiring.
The staff was incredibly welcoming and they shared the history and inspirations behind the hotel with so much passion. One of my favorite details was the impressive copper mask above the bar, created by Jean-Pierre Lebureau, a tribute to Auguste Bartholdi and inspired by the Statue of Liberty. It felt meaningful and powerful, and it set the tone for the whole experience.
The breakfast was amazing, with delicious Alsatian products served in the Michelin-starred dining room of JY’S by Jean-Yves Schillinger. Starting the day in such a beautiful space made everything feel special. The spa was also wonderful, peaceful, and perfect for disconnecting.
What I also appreciated was the turndown service, which can often be forgotten in some luxury hotels. The small details like the chocolate-covered bretzel placed on the bed made me feel genuinely cared for.
This stay reminded me why I chose hospitality: for moments where design, kindness, and emotions come together and leave a lasting memory!
